1099-NEC Non-Employee Compensation

This form is issued to independent contractors to report income earned outside of traditional employment. For truck drivers, it is typically the primary tax document, as most carriers use it to report your gross income for the year. It shows how much the carrier paid you but does not include any tax withholding.
