SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE

Office Location: Lakewood, CO or Laramie, WY

 

Position Overview: A successful Senior Tax Associate will prepare and review a high volume of accurate tax returns, provide valuable feedback to the Tax Associates on their preparation of tax returns, and provide excellent customer service to our clients, primarily via phone and email.

Significant Responsibilities:

  • Review a high volume of our Tax Associates completed individual and business federal, state, and local income tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and due diligence;

  • Proactively interact with our Tax Associates providing feedback and training;

  • Provide tax return results and tax strategies to clients in a positive and helpful manner;

  • Proactively interact with clients to gather tax information and resolve tax-related questions; and

  • Support other departments and associates to contribute to the growth of ATBS by providing excellent internal and external customer service.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • EA certification is preferred.

  • At least three years of experience reviewing individual and business tax returns with Schedule C’s is strongly preferred;

  • Knowledge of federal and state income tax forms and tax rules and regulations;

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs, especially Excel; and

  • Previous experience using CCH tax software is a plus, but not required.

 

Compensation/Salary:

The starting pay range for this position is $48K - $57K/yr. Compensation and benefits are based on, among other things, primary work location, academic achievements, and previous work experience. ATBS offers competitive wages based on industry standards.
