Office Location: Golden, CO, and Laramie, WY

Position Overview: A Senior Entity Accountant is responsible for managing client accounts. Managing the client's accounts consists of preparing the yearly tax returns, consulting, creating profit and loss statements, creating balance sheets, and other items.

Significant Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, via phone and email, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor by being the primary client point of contact concerning entity accounting and tax matters

  • Accurately prepare the client's yearly corporate and personal tax returns

  • Efficiently and enthusiastically complete initial onboarding calls with clients

  • Effectively utilize ATBS software programs to prepare accurate monthly balance sheets and profit and loss statements from information submitted by clients

  • Precisely reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis

  • Diligently process payroll and prepare accurate and prompt payroll reports for clients

  • Accurately prepare timely quarterly tax estimates and annual tax returns for clients

  • Thoroughly research and reply to client requests and tax notices received promptly

  • Creatively motivate employees to perform their duties with excellence thereby contributing to the success of ATBS

  • Proactively interact with bookkeepers, providing feedback and training

  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents, procedures, and government regulations

  • The ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients is necessary

  • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and associates

  • Top-notch mathematical skills

  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus

  • Adaptability and strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in data entry and 10-key

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software is beneficial


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, or progress towards a degree

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience in business, transportation or a related financial field may substitute

  • Practical, general business experience is preferred

  • Previous experience preparing tax returns, specifically S Corporation, is also very beneficial



The starting pay range for this position is $15 - $21/hr. Compensation and benefits are based on, among other things, primary work location, academic achievements, and previous work experience. ATBS offers competitive wages based on industry standards.
