Experienced Reconciliation Specialist

Office Location: Golden, CO and Laramie, WY


Position Overview: The Experienced Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for leading, training, and coaching a team of Reconciliation Specialists by demonstrating excellent customer service (internal & external), ethical behaviors, and thorough year-end Schedule C Preparation. Schedule C Preparations includes, but not limited to; Reconciliations of client Profit & Loss to 1099’s and YTD information.

Significant Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop and provide Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and clarifications to manager to plan and react to variable conditions in the department 

  • Consistently learn and develop personal leadership qualities by regularly meeting with manager

  • Diligently provide excellent customer service, via phone and email, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor by being the primary client point of contact concerning Profit & Loss/Schedule C matters. In addition, supporting other departments and contributing to the growth of ATBS by answering inquiries regarding accounting transactions that impact client reporting in a timely manner

  • Accurately prepare the client's yearly Schedule C for their respective personal Tax Return

  • Efficiently and enthusiastically communicate with internal and external customers to get results in a timely manner

  • Effectively utilize ATBS software programs to prepare accurate Schedule C statements from information submitted by clients

  • Precisely reconcile client Schedule C with carrier issued 1099s, settlements, and factoring reports while ensuring clients’ results are in line with established Company parameters or have reasonable explanations from the established parameters


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents, procedures, and government regulations

  • The ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients if necessary

  • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and associates

  • Top-notch mathematical skills

  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are a plus

  • Adaptability and strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software is beneficial

  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


Education and/or Experience: 

  • An Associate’s degree or progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred

  • Practical, general business experience is preferred



The starting pay range for this position is $17 - $22/hr. Compensation and benefits are based on, among other things, academic achievements and previous work experience. ATBS offers competitive wages based on industry standards.
