Job Title: Reconciliation Specialist

Job Location: Lakewood, CO and Laramie, WY

Position Overview: The Client Accounting team is responsible for year-end reconciliations of client accounts to 1099’s and YTD information through Schedule C preparation.

Significant Responsibilities:

  • Verifying and reconciling revenue and expense amounts provided by clients or partner carriers to amounts reported within the ATBS database

  • Researching and ensuring that clients’ financial results are in line with established due diligence parameters or have reasonable explanations from the established parameters

  • Researching accounting and data entry issues to determine the correct application of client transactions in the preparation of profit and loss statements and related schedules

  • Generating accurate Schedule C information for inclusion in clients’ income tax returns and adhering to all established reconciliation processes

  • Providing high-quality customer service by assisting in answering clients’ questions regarding accounting matters and communicating information in a manner that is understood by clients and ATBS employees

  • Supporting other departments and contributing to the growth of ATBS by answering inquiries regarding accounting transactions that impact client reporting in a timely manner

  • Responsible for data entry of client materials, in accordance with established guidelines

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, computer, and math skills

  • Experience and demonstrated ability with Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with external and internal customers

  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred

Compensation/Salary:

Compensation and benefits are based on, among other things, academic achievements and previous work experience. ATBS offers competitive wages based on industry standards.

COVID-19 Considerations:

To keep our employees safe, we have spread out employee work stations in the office in order to maintain adequate social distancing. Temperatures are taken daily and anyone with a fever of 99.5⁰ F or higher is immediately sent home. High traffic areas are sanitized several times throughout the day. All staff members are required to wear masks in common areas, meeting rooms, and any time 6 feet of separation cannot be maintained.

Seasonal Position Details:

Seasonal assignments are a great opportunity to gain experience in a new field or industry. Our seasonal assignments can be part time or full time and have a tentative completion date of April 2021. Consideration will be given for full-time and part-time employment opportunities after completing this seasonal assignment.
