Job Title: Business Consultant

Location: Lakewood, CO

Position Overview:  Manage a group of clients by providing valuable business advice to improve their profitability and ensure their success as an independent contractor or small business owner.  Consulting work includes conducting detailed goal setting and personalized profit planning to identify specific needs for each client. Proactively analyze client’s business performance results, determine the critical aspects to discuss, seek out guidance and direction from Senior Business Consultants (SBC) or Lead Business Consultants (LBC) with respect to the direction of higher level consulting tasks. With assistance from SBC or LBC, establish a plan of action and methods for implementation to enable the client to run their business successfully and profitably to improve retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering services to clients
  • Initiate client contact within defined guidelines regarding onboarding with ATBS and complete Initial Client Onboarding Call
  • Initiate client goal setting, prepare profit plan (budget) or prefunding budgets within defined guidelines
  • Complete an Initial Profit & Loss Statement Consultation within defined guidelines
  • Complete consulting tasks as assigned
  • Update client information as needed on an ongoing basis
  • Contribute to a strong team environment
    • Support other team members in their efforts and participate in group meetings and discussions
    • Provide excellent client service to all ATBS clients
    • Support other departments in ATBS to better serve clients
  • Customer Service duties
    • Answer incoming calls and perform outbound calls as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor degree is required; Business degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred

 

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of customer service or business management is preferred
  • Basic understanding or knowledge of the transportation industry, tax rules and regulations is preferred

  • Proven ability to communicate, verbally and written, to internal and external audiences
  • Excellent reasoning, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong relationship-building ability
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong work ethic with a continued willingness to learn
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to help clients be successful
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Gmail
